Stevia Powder Extract is made from an unusually sweet herb that contains almost no caloric value at all. Glycosides present in the Stevia rebaudiana plant give the plant its extreme sweetness. The glycosides stevioside and rebaudioside are mainly responsible for this unique characteristic. Tests show that stevioside is roughly 300 times sweeter than sucrose.
